Hi everyone! I'm a complete newbie building my first Hackintosh and I'm running into some problems. I followed the Tonymac Unibeast Installation guide for Mountain Lion to a T and I can install off the USB drive just fine, it boots in OSX for the first time and I download and run Multibeast and I select everything exactly as the screenshot says for a DSDT-Free installation (system info below). When I rebooted after running Multibeast I was getting the Boot0 error so I did the Terminal fix and that seemed to work. However, when I boot up, it will come to the Tonymac startup screen then show the grey Apple screen with the spinning line-circle (in less than full screen), then the screen goes black for a second then comes to a grey screen and goes no further. No mouse pointer or anything on the screen, just a blank light grey screen.

Any suggestions? I've searched extensively on the forums but can't seem to find an answer.

Here is my system info (I based it off the Tonymac CustoMac suggestion):

- Gigabyte Z77X-UP5 TH
- Intel i7-3770K LGA1155
- Gigabyte GTX 670
- Corsair 32GB RAM
- 1 TB Seagate Barracuda SATA 6 Gb/s

The only thing different hardware wise from the suggested build is that I have an LG Blu-Ray burner also installed, however, it's supposed to work fine with OSX.

I've tried using only the onboard graphics vice the 670, but that doesn't seem to help.

Also, this is probably a stupid question, but is there a way to edit your Multibeast or system tweak without having to re-install every time?

Thank you so much for your time and help!!! Anything you can suggest would be greatly appreciated!

GTX 670...have you tried typing GraphicsEnabler=No at the Chimera boot screen? Might solve your problem. You also have to enable GraphicsEnabler=No in Multibeast.
If it doesn't work, try typing -x at the bootscreen.

THANK YOU!!! I can successfully boot into OSX now!! :)

If anyone out there has a similar problem to mine, I followed Ewoodster's advice and put GraphicsEnabler=No at the Chimera boot screen. This enabled the system to boot into OSX. I then ran Multibeast again and set the GraphicsEnabler option. So far (knock on wood), everything seems to be working OK.

Thank you again, Ewoodster!!! And on a side note, I just want to thank the whole Tonymac/Hackintosh community. From Tonymac and MacMan to all the regular contributors, this is a phenomenal resource for Hackintosh building and everyone seems to be really helpful. Hopefully as I get more experienced with this whole thing I can give back to the community in some way.

I'm experiencing what seems like a similar difficulty, and I will try the suggested fix tomorrow. I've decided to take a rest tonight and approach the problem with a fresh perspective in the morning.

I have no issues installing ML and then running MultiBeast, but upon restarting to boot squarely off of the HDD alone, I get to the gray line wheel and then it stops spinning. On verbose mode I get no error messages - a string of successful checks and then it just stops.

Thanks!

Woke up, made a cup of coffee, and followed the good advice here given and I'm booting as I should! Thanks, friends!

Can load with -x option, but only from USB drive.

GraphicsEnabler=NO doesn't work :(

Thank you so much! This fixed my problem as well. I was pulling my hair out.
