Hi guys install 10.8 on some old hardware
Hardware is as follows:
Motherboard: Asus P5QL Pro
CPU: Core2Duo E8500
GPU: Nvidia 9800GT
RAM: 4GB
Installed 10.8 using the Unibeast method. Had to PCIRootUID=0 to get the installer to work but that all went fine.
I've run Multibeast checking:
- Easybeast
- Audio VoodooHDA 0.3.7.4
- PS/2 Keyboard/Mice
Then ran Kextbeast to install a kext for my on board ethernet (AttansicL1eEthernet.kext).
I've previously had Snow Leopard working on this hardware (using retail dvd + multibeast + kextbeast for this ethernet kext). And had everything 100% working.
Should I try another utility to install the kext or could someone give me a suggestion?
EDIT: After some trial and error of 4 different kexts I found one that worked!
