Asus Sabertooth X58 (BIOS 1304)-Update it
Using fresh hard drive
So I have installed it and it went like this:
Changed Bios Settings to AHCI and turned off USB 3.0
Set all overclocking settings to standard CPU settings
Create bootable USB from another Mac computer and retail Mountain Lion
Download ShowAllFiles and delete this kext from the install USB:
System/Library/Extensions/ATI6000Controller.kext
Now you should be able to boot straight into the USB with no problem(use unibeast guide for ML on tonymacx86)
My first install went gray midway; on the second time the install finished and was able to boot into ML
In ML use Multibeast and DSDT for Sabertooth X58 (1304)
Get Chimera bootloader too.
Reboot and start ML with "GraphicsEnabler=no"
You should boot and log in and everything
Install other needed audio/etc fixes from Multibeast(ML) later
Now I have to set up the ATI6970
Will attempt using files from DP4 and replacing out files
(http://netkas.org/?p=1084)
I guess the graphics should work completely afterwards.
Then will set check audio/hard drive jmicron stuff/etc.
Will get back to you after all this and please comment with any of your thoughts.
Perhaps we will be able to replace certain files in the install usb and make the ATI 6970/5970/6950/5950 work with ML.
