Mountain Lion is working on the GA-X58A-UD7 rev1 Bios F7 with DSDT edited for HDMI audio.
8 second boot time after BIOS post (BIOS post is a little long on this board)

Sleep works
Native power management works
Audio over HDMI works
Digital Optical s/PDIF works
5.1 Surround sound works.
Front headphone set works - automatically swaps from selected audio options in Preferences to the headset when you plug it in and automatically switches back when unplugged.

So far, I have seen no problems.

EDIT: BIOS is still F7, added pics:

This is awesome news. Cool!
I've got 10.7.4 running perfectly but I would really like to move to 10.8
I'm not a osx86-guru myself so I would be extremely thankful for a detailed guide or at least a full list of files needed and where they'd best be installed.

My setup:
GA-X58A-UD7 rev1 Bios F7, i7 930 @3.4-3.8GHz on air, 12 GB Corsair XMS3 (6x2GB) @1600MHz, Club 3D Radeon 4890HD, SSD Bootdisk

Thanks!

EDIT:
Spelling and setup.

Edited original post to add some pics and a dsdt.aml

I've got a GA-X58A-UD7 rev 1 with F7 BIOS & a ATI 5970, I followed your steps with Chameleon wizard to create plist etc & it stops at start up with this text - [PCI configuration begin]
Any ideas? It's the same as yours, maybe it's the video card, I've had success altering kexts in Lion & Snow leopard for the 5970 but looks like ML could be different.

Click on my sig/link to my original build in User Builds - there are some pics there of the BIOS settings and the original selections for MB, etc.
The only reason I used Chameleon Wizard to create the .plists was because MB UserDSDT installed a lot of unnecessary settings for this board in the boot.plist and it was faster to use CW than go in and edit after install.

You might try with -v pcirootuid=1 and see if that will work. If it does, add it to the boot.plist kernel flags.

I have a GA-X58A-UD7 F6 with Mountain Lion installed via unibeast. The system crashes randomly with the right DSDT i.e. F6. I changed to your DSDT, and it crashes less. When it crashes, mouse is still responsive, but graphic is all messed up and unresponsive. SSH still works, so I am able to remote reboot it when crash happens.

I'm wondering if you have encountered the same problem.

Cheers,
Jacks

edit:
I've flashed BIOS to the same version as you and system still crashes, see attachment

Hi, which kext from multi beast are you using for the onboard ethernet?

Cheers

if you don't use DSDT, then ethernet is supported OOB. if you use the DSDT provided by this post, then you will need the "Lnx2Mac's RealtekRTL81xx Ethernet" as seen in screenshot in the post.

also, if you used DSDT, then Drivers->Audio->Realtek->Without DSDT->ALC889 does not work. you will need the first voodoo option under Drivers->Audio->Realtek->Universal

Hi Going Bold,

I have a nVidia 9800 gt that works only 1 out of 10 times due to a weird OpenGL exception associated with nVidia video cards. I have tried many suggestions and the problem persists. I have given up on nVidia and I'd like to get the same video card as your build. Your signature tells "Sapphire HD5770".

Could you please confirm that your working (Mountain Lion) video card model? I read your build page it says replaced by "Apple nVidia GeForce GT120" so I'm a little bit confused. Could you please also confirm that your video graphic card works OOB?

Many Thanks!

Jacks

Edit:

After I switched to Radeon HD 5770, there were no more crashes! As for audio, since the DSDT from the original post already contains the "layout id:1" fix, so as for audio, just install the AppleHDA.kext patched for ML, see attachment.

I'm getting stuck at what, to me, seems like some speed step or power management problem.
I'm not a total noob but I'm not very experienced with this either...
Anybody have some tips, tricks or pointers?
