i installed mountainlion using the unibeast mountain lion app and i boot from the usb stick.
it then goes to the gray loading screen and at the end of the proccess my screen goes black.
the computer is still running but i cannot do anything.

i restart and try boot flag GraphicsEnabler=No
same thing, right after gray boot screen, my monitor shuts of due to "no signal"

i try restarting again and using -v
same thing. after it loads all the texts, it goes thru everything and i get no signal again.

i try - x, and i get the same result.

any ideas what i should do? my setup is in my signature.
thanks for your help.

The same problem happened to me with Unibeast. Most boot flags I tried yielded no result.

The solution: PCIRootUID=0
I tried this one last because it is for Radeon cards. I have a nVidia 9500GT. But, that boot flag got me into the installer. TRY IT.

If it works, be sure to use it again when booting into your ML installation for the first time. After applying multi beast, you won't need to type it any more.

i actually tried that, just now and same issue. :-\

I had the same issue with Chimera and 560 Ti.

Install Chameleon (2035) by Enoch on the USB drive and boot from it (Select the ML drive of course).

See if it works.

sorry i'm a noob with this stuff.

how do i install chameleon 2035?
where do i get it? does it function just like unibeast?

Not sure if this is violating any rules (I hope not).

You need to download this:

OSx86.net

(Registration required I think).

Install it like Multibeast on the USB Drive. I left the defaults settings and added the darkwake=0 just in case lol.

Boot from it and if it works you need to do the same but from within ML.

i used unibeast to make the ml usb installer
multibeast is a post installer thing. so i assume this is a post installer?

my issue is getting to the installation screen.

That's what you call a kernel panic. I'm unfortunately having the same problem, I'll post my responses if I get it fixed on my end.

I updated by Bios and now the installer runs great! In FullHD resolution!

Do you have another mac you could use? or a back up partition?

That would be the only way to install it on the flash drive that I know of :S
