Gigabyte motherboard BIOS auto reset after each boot!!! [Solved]

Hi,
I had Mac OS X Lion installed with no problem at all.
I just did a fresh install of Mountain Lion (formatted the HDD then installed), everything is working fine, all ports and all, except I have this weird issue, whenever I restart/boot the BIOS settings get reset! So I have to go and set it again!!!

Anyone with similar issues? Fix?

I have Gigabyte G41M-ES2L Rev 1.1

thnx

Hi

I have the same problem, No issues under lion but with mountain lion bios resets every time. Not sure how to fix, i have installed with user dsdt so the rtc fix should be enabled. I hope someone could give some pointers.

was having the same issue, fixed it by deleting the AppleRTC.kext, then copied the one from my 10.7.4 intall, dumped it on the desktop, ran kext beast, rebooted and it retained my bios settings. Have not had the problem since.

I was actually having this problem with Lion and tracked it down that if "Reopen Windows when logging back in" was not checked upon shutdown/restart this occurred. Didn't get any deeper than that to resolve it, I just leave it checked.

Hi

I can confirm what lod said about the lion 10.7.4 rtc kext, once i installed this as described the problem has gone away. I also don't get any delay now with my bluetooth i had to wait 30 seconds for usb to become active on 10.7.4, but now instant. I'm happy now!

Solved..
I fixed the issue by installing this kext (AppleRTC Pached 10.7.4 - Downloads - OSx86.net) which actually is AppleRTC for 10.7.4, I installed it using Kext Helper if you were wondering..

Weirdly enough, the PC is super faster!

thnx for the tips guys..

Thanks to all. Had the same problem and i'm about to try the fix suggested. Thanks.

Same issue here. I've tried the multibeast patch which didn't appear to actually do anything. I tried the linked perl patch and verified it was patched via hash. I just tried the linked 10.7.4 kext. Nothing has worked so far.
