I am a noob hack builder & have spent the last 24 hours trying different Multibeast settings to set up my Z87X-UD7 TH. I am installing Mountain Lion for the setup, thinking this would improve stability.
Although I can get the OS up and running, I have:

-No audio output
-No BT (I swapped out the WiFi card that came with the mobo & replaced it with TP-Link Tl-WDN4800)
-No Ethernet

I have searched any threads that I can find concerning the Z87X-UD7 TH & Multibeast settings, tried several with no luck. I have found different settings on different threads, but I am having trouble putting them together to make the mofo mobo work.

Can anyone direct me to a thread or offer settings that might help?

First of all, bluetooth won't work without a bluetooth dongle- the WDN4800 doesn't have bluetooth- it's WIFI only.

Audio is quite simple- install options for Realtek 898 (without DSDT) in MultiBeast.

Ethernet is i210 and i217, so install the Intel ethernet driver in MultiBeast.

Thanks for the quick response!
Audio now works. Ethernet port says it works (but it doesn't recognize my network for some reason).
Seems i'm on the road to success.

I'm having issues with my Ethernet ports as well on this Mobo and I'm not sure why...

The bottom port (Intel i210) is supposed to be natively supported by OSX. However, when I booted into OSX without any network drivers from Multibeast, neither ethernet port shows up in the Network Prefs.

After installing hnak's network driver, I got the TOP ethernet port working properly (Intel i217-V chip), but the bottom one is still unresponsive (Intel i210) which is unusual because its supposed to be natively supported.

FYI the lights on both ports behave the same when the ethernet cord is plugged in: Left light is solid orange, right light is blinking yellow.

My use for this machine requires both ports functioning simultaneously, so if anyone has any suggestions (BIOS settings, drivers, etc) that would be great! Thanks.

I have the same issue with the networking card, except I'm using clover to install, not multi beast. Did you or anyone else out there find a solution to the networking card? I read somewhere that you didn't need anything for it, it should have worked out of the box.... But that didn't work for me either....

get a junk drive and install windows 7 on it-
install all the drivers for the board. use the devices in windows.

then boot back into mac

bluetooth should work without the dongle- ethernet should come alive too

i have the ud5 th- this is what brought bluetooth and thunderbolt online for me.

i have crazy stability issues though. frequent crashes, audio drops out randomly only to be brought back by going to sleep and waking back up. sleep just broke for me though. i'm going to start with a fresh install today and see what the deal is.

also been experiencing finder problems. today i'm doing a backup of 2TB and finder copy will just disappear sometimes. no error message. no nothing - but no copy and thats the problem.

as far as i can tell Hackintosh is a wild west landscape and can't be used for anything critical. hopefully that changes for me.

Are you installing mountain lion, or experimenting with it on this board tonymac? I have success with mavericks but I didn't realize they removed the ability to sync contacts and calendar within mavericks. These are the features I sought and is my first experience with osx... I'm really bummed about this, although, I have learned a lot from this forum (thank you) and seem to have mavericks running stable with exceptions to thunderbolt (I don't own any) and the included wifi card.

So my questions are, can this board (z87x-ud7 TH) run mount ion lion well enough to sync my iPhones and calendars? Second, the "new" Osx apple is releasing, do you know if they returned those features???
