Hello.

Since I had problems with USBs kexts with my old motherboard and I have no solution for that, today I've decided to try with another motherboard.
I'm trying to install Mountain Lion 10.8.3 on a GA-H77M-D3H.
I've been reading several posts and I've updated my bios to version F9 as people recommended.

The problem is that I ONLY can install and boot after install with the -x option. I've tried a lot of combinations, with GraphicsEnabler yes and no, PCIBootUID 0 and 1, some Bios options but nothing, my system only works with -x.
I've even tried with my old HD5770 graphics card, but I have the same problem.

Any idea?? could it be some thing in the bios? I don't know what more to do.

Very happy to find this post. I have the very same problem with GA-H77M-D3H. My other components are:

- CM/MCI5 MICRO INTEL CORE I5 3570K 3.4GHz
- DDR3 8GB PC3-12800 1600MHZ KINGSTON HYPERX
- HD SSD 240GB SATA 2.5"
- No Graphic Card

Please, some help!!!

Hello.

I've been testing for a while more. I've founded this post http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-...7m-d3h-i5-3470-evga-gtx-650-1gb-10-8-3-a.html

Doing what it says, now my system boots fine, but ONLY with a graphics card, NOT with the internal graphics card.
I'm going to test USBs, sleep/wakeup, audio, etc now.....

Regards.

If you are using the same processor as stated in that guide - Ivy Bridge i5-3470, then suggest you try this : http://www.tonymacx86.com/graphics/...ge-hd2500-full-resolution-qe-ci-10-8-3-a.html.

If your processor is a different model then we need to know which one it is.

SOLVED and Running - GA-H77M-D3H I only can install or boot with -x

Wouuuu I can't believe it. I'm gonna cry lol!!

Everything works now!!! USB 3.0, sound, network, sleep/wakeup, screensaver, everything :)
Here is a resume of what I've done:

Hardware: Gigabyte GA-H77M-D3H, graphics card radeon HD5770 from my old PC, 1 RAM module of 4GB Kingston DDR3, processor I5 3330 3ghz
* Download OSX 10.8.3
* Create your boot pendrive with Unibeast mountain lion
* Update the bios to version F9
* Go to your bios and do this: http://www.tonymacx86.com/99-quick-guide-configuring-uefi-gigabyte-s-7-series-lga-1155-boards.html
- Enable AHCI for hard disks
- xHCI mode to auto
- Both hand-off at the botton to Enable
- Init display first to IGFX
- I've also selected my boot device as P0:western digital.....
* Save and reboot
* I've installed OSX with -x option and WITHOUT Radeon my graphics card, that is, I've used the graphics card of the motherboard.
* After install, I've download Multibeast 5.3.1 and I've installed it with the options:
- DSDT free installation
- Drivers - Audio-Universal-VoodooHDA VT2021
- Miscellanious-FakeSMC v5.1.61 and FakeSMC v5.1.61 Plugins (all)
- Network Atheros
* After multibeast, don't reboot. You have to edit /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist and add " dart=0 " to the line "darkwake=0"
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
<key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>GenerateCStates</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>GeneratePStates</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Kernel</key>
<string>mach_kernel</string>
<key>Kernel Flags</key>
<string>darkwake=0 dart=0</string>
<key>Legacy Logo</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Timeout</key>
<string>2</string>
<key>UseKernelCache</key>
<string>Yes</string>
</dict>
</plist>

* Turn off your computer.
* Plug your graphics card.
* Boot and enter BIOS. Change Peripherals-Init display first that was IGFX by PEG
* Boot OSX and that's all. Now everything works.

All the best.

Congratulations and thank you for sharing your solution. I will try to follow your guide without the last part, since I don't have graphics card.

Yes,

You are correct, here is the quote from the UEFI guide;

"On the peripherals settings screen you can also configure the display settings. In the case of the example above, a discrete graphics card was used, so PEG is what you want to select under Init Display First. If you’re using the integrated Intel graphics, then you want to select IGFX here. You don’t need to make any changes to the Internal Graphics Memory Size setting here, just leave it at the default of 64MB."

Also it has been noted in other builds that the best bios version to Hackintosh the GA-H77-DH3 board is version 9
