Hello Guys
I would like to thank everyone for their help on this
Finally got ML OS 10.8 working great
My Computer Specs Are
Asus P8H67 Rev. 1.06 with the latest Bios update 3603
Graphics Card is a MSI N8400GS 512MB
Realtek® ALC 887 8-Channel High Definition Audio CODEC
Realtek® 8111E , 1 x Gigabit LAN Controller(s)
If this helps this is how I did it,
• You must update your M/B to the latest Bios!
• You must have a working version of Snow leopard or Lion!
• Download ML 10.8 from Apple store
• I made my own DSDT with the help of this video (I have also attached my DSDT if you want to try it) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ViPhzSxctiY
• And with some files downloaded from http://tonymacx86.blogspot.co.uk/2009/11/create-and-modify-your-dsdtaml.html
• Used the latest Unibeast http://www.tonymacx86.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=132 to make a ML USB install
• I used this guide http://www.tonymacx86.com/61-unibea...untain-lion-any-supported-intel-based-pc.html up to Step 4 then ....
• All went ok with the install, until the first restart after the install using USB where it kept hanging at (iobluetoothhcicontroller - started - completed)... I can only start mountain lion in safe mode, after a lot of searching it turned out to be Graphics Problem, after trying loads of different Kexts, I found these ones that finally worked, they also gave me all settings for my graphics card,
• The one problem was I got Kernel Panic so I had to install NullCPUPowerManagement.kext, then it booted up using USB ok without having to use safe mode
• Then I used the latest Multibeast 6.4.1 from http://www.tonymacx86.com/downloads.php?do=cat&id=3 to install network card (see Pic 1)
• Then tried a long time to get the sound working after many restarts and much searching I found this http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/59982-solved-realtek-alc887-mac-osx-lion-10-7-4-sound-problem.html but it did not work for me so just out of frustration of trying loads of things (even though I am using a DSDT file) I tried the FIRST option (See Pic 2) and to my amazement it worked.
And I now have a fully working Mountain Lion on my PC!! Hope this helps someone.
In conclusion while I was searching for clues I came across these 3 videos that were very helpful and informative, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIOJB3EVHaw , http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxtxWVj6kOk , http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDw3RhLWAjE&feature=channel&list=UL
I think all Noobs Like me should watch these Videos before posting any questions they are very good !!
