Motherboard
Gigabyte Z87X-UD4H
CPU
i7-4770K
Graphics
GTX 670

  1. Mac Pro
Mobile Phone
  1. Android
After many attempts, trials and tribulation I have reached Os X Nirvana!

Success method:

1. Remove Graphics Card and use motherboard graphics.
2. Reset Motherboard Bios Default and set SATA mode from IDE to AHCI (Just to be on the safe side).
2. Boot ML Install USB with Boot Flags GraphicsEnabler=No and PCIRootUID=0
3. Run Installer, Partition Destination and continue install.
4. Reboot off of USB installer and select Mountain Lion as boot source.
5. Configure your ML.
6. Run Multibeast options.
7. Reboot and set bios to boot off of Mountaian Lion partition.

Supposedly, re-inserting your Graphics card at this point will work. I will verify.

The key was to run the installer with native graphics only in my case. I spent all day and night yesterday fighting kernel panics and failed installs without first removing the GB and using the boot flags. It was nice to finally get a properly working install.

Motherboard: GA-Z77-DS3H
CPU: i5-3570K
Graphics: ZOTEK GT-520
RAM: 8 Gigs
Bluetooth: Rocketfish
WiFi: Broadcomm mSata on PCI-X

Pretty sure people people with non-K CPU's won't have such an easy time as the GMA2500 graphics that the non-K's have isn't supported OOTB.

(Feel free to correct me though)

Success with Ivy CPU and GA-Z77-DS3H - Update

Re-installed from scratch to verify that this method worked and it did. However, I have not been able to use any of my three graphics cards and seem to be only able to use the on board graphics. I tried a new Zotak 520 card (worked in Lion and caused a KP in ML), Gigabyte 8400 (screen went blank during boot up), EG3A GT-250 Card (screen went blank at boot up).

So... stuck using on board Graphics .. If anyone has a solution chime in :)

Could you post your multibeast settings? and also... did you install chimera 1.11.0 after you used multibeast?

That was pretty much exactly my experience too with:
Motherboard: GA-Z77-DS3H
CPU: i7-3770K
Graphics: EVGA GTX 550Ti

Were your problems caused by the nvidia card or by the mb/cpu itself?
Just curious cause I got the same motherboard and an IB CPU but an ATI card instead of nvidia. Should I follow your steps as well?

I can boot using the GT-520 only in safe mode.

Going to try the new cuda drivers installed ... then try with the multi beast nvidia support kext.

Bios is latest F6

Working great under HD4000 but I want to be able to upgrade my graphics.

I have the same mono and CPU but am using the built-in 4000 graphics card. I can boot just fine the first time, but the resolution is off. When I run MultiBeast, I get an [AGPM] controller unknownplatform error. Nothing works and the boot process just stops. Any ideas?
