I was searching for a guide to install the new nVidia graphics card GTX770 with 4GB of DDR5 RAM and I found informations in various threads.
So, to keep it more comfortable for you to install/upgrade I created this summary.

My start configuration was: GA-Z77X-UD5H - i7 3770K - Intel HD4000 - Mac OS X10.8.3

1. I updated the system to MAC OS X 10.8.4 via combo update from Apple
2. then I started MultiBeast in order to get sound working again and I marked under Drivers & Bootloaders/Drivers/Audio/Realtek ALC8xx/Without DSDT/ ->ALC898 (skip that if you are already on 10.8.4 and sound is working)
3. and to get the new graphics card working I setted - Customization/Boot Options -> GraphicsEnabler=No
4. after that I restarted the hack and opened my bios settings -> Peripherals -> Internal Graphics to disabled

If you are using multiple monitors like me, OS X might show your displays synced. Just change that in your system panel and everything should be working out of the box.

Hope this little guide saved you some time.

Have fun :beachball:

Is the system showing and using all 4Gb of GPU ram? What does it show in your system report?
Can you post an ioreg or iojones?

It recognize 4GB of total GPU Ram. I will post some pictures later. I tested it's graphics power with the game Borderlands 2 so far. The performance is as expected really awesome. The only thing missing are the PhysX settings. Don't know if PhysX is not compatible with Mac OS X or why this is not selectable in the game settings. On weekend I will post a ioreg and do further testing. ;)

Which card (manufacturer, model #, etc) did you use? Im thinking about getting one as well, just not which one would work with a hackintosh. I heard 4GB cards arent compatible, but it sounds like yours is. Sweet!

thank you

Hi there! Yes, the GTX770 is about 2 weeks in my machine and it's working like a charm. I didn't know how to test the full compatibility and if the system really uses all of the 4GB vram, so I appreciate every suggestion to do that.
My model is a "PALIT GeForce® GTX 770 JETSTREAM (4096MB GDDR5)". The only thing I can say is, I don't have any issues.

Glad to hear its up and working with no issues. Also thankful for the reply with the manufacturer and model number. You must not be in the USA Id assume because I cant find that card for sale anywhere here in the USA... where did you purchase it?

After some weeks of testing I recognized stand-by mode is not working any more. System shutdown does not work also. I'm still searching for a workaround. :-O

Next issue I already solved:
After I had updated to Mac OS X 10.8.5 via combo update the card was only recognized as "NVIDIA GK104 4096MB"

I added the following line to to Kernel Flags in the /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist

nvda_drv=1

you can follow this guide to do this:

Update:
besides, after applying these drivers my "stand-by-/shutdown-problem" was solved also.

Maybe it's worth a try for some of you.
