Sorry for missing your post RehabMan. Just got a whole bunch of snow, 7 feet, over the past 3+ weeks. Guess where I live. I've seen this issue come and go on the same OS version. It is now gone. The changes I made were: 1. reduce the overclocking to zero, i.e. use graded speed. 2. use: pmset -a hibernateFile /dev/null

Anyway the issue...

None of these suggestions fixed this problem for me. In fact after the next reboot - have to do so manually - I find that standby mode is back on, i.e. it is again set to 0, and standby delay is back to 4200.

This did not solve my problem. Clearing standby mode, i.e. setting it and standbydelay to 0 did not solve the problem. I have no solution yet.

the correct command is this: sudo pmset -a standby 0 got me too. Oh, and after these changes the machine wakes up (some reason, not from sleep/wake request) and freezes. Sleep/wake works as long as i do the wake before 2 or so hours of sleep.

Ping. Am also looking for suggestions on an alternative. I don't find the TP-Link WDN4800 reliable either, as I posted before.
