Ping. Am also looking for suggestions on an alternative. I don't find the TP-Link WDN4800 reliable either, as I posted before.

Just to add my two cents. I am also using the TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 as my adaptor. My router is the Verizon FIFOs MI424WEI router. The channel selection is on Auto and it seems to swap between channel 6 and 11. There are 4 other WiFi networks near me, all in the 2.4GHz spectrum. I have similar stability problems, especially after waking...

I had this problem in 10.9.2 and was waiting for 10.9.3 to see if it per-chance fixed the issue. Following a wake from sleep, which takes about a minute to reconnect the USB devices, Network and Bluetooth TouchPad, the WiFi Network (Trendnet 480N) will drop out two or three minutes later. System Preferences -> Network -> Assist Me doesn't fix it. Only a restart of the OS fixes it. Damn, so, so close. Using version 0.90 of this...

Is it that simple that one still has to Overclock in the BIOS? I did that and now see 4.2 in the Intel Gadget. And I see it in the /var/log/system.log | grep "AICPUPMI" output. I started this effort thinking that since one specifies the Overclock frequency in the ssdt, that it was controlling the Overclock too. Please confirm that I ...

Can I ask what was the final issue that you fixed to get speedsteps to overclock? Or are you not overclocking?

1. Problem is I can't seem to get Overclocking to work. My target is 4.2GHz which this system has been running in Legacy mode for over 2 years. I installed the SSDT.aml yesterday with a system definition of MacMini5,1. This gave me OC of 4200 and PM but my video failed (could not play video and system froze after being up for 5+ minutes. I...
