I was away during the holidays, so I haven't had time to work on HDMI audio. There is another recent build thread with this motherboard and the i5 (I believe the 3750) that you may want to read. It appeared they got HDMI audio working. I was working on following their instructions, but haven't yet gotten it to work. I haven't been through any...

I assume you still installed the Realtek Audio driver, correct? As I understand it, you used the legacy one (not the current). Was this from the "With DSDT" or "Without DSDT" section?

Yes, already installed. I'll add it to the list of components. I use server primarily for the centralized Time Machine backups of all the Macs in our house.
