Hey,

I'm using an ASUS N550JA:

  • i7 4700HQ 2.4GHz
  • 8GB RAM
  • 1TB 5400RPM HDD
  • Mavericks 10.9 / Chameleon
  • Intel HD Graphics 4600

Just about everything else works, but the graphics is only getting 7MB of RAM when I look at the system information, which causes slow animations, weird graphic glitches, and I can't even watch YouTube videos because they stutter too much.

I have tried using some of the bootflags like injecting the ID, but I'm not positive which ones to use for Chameleon, and which ones are made for Chimera/Clover.

If anyone has had this issue, help would be greatly appreciated.

Chimera, Chameleon, and Clover all use different flags/settings for Intel integrated...

If you're using Chameleon, use:
GraphicsEnabler=Yes IntelAzulFB=12

Chimera:
IGPEnabler=Yes GraphicsEnabler=No IGPlatformID=0a260006
(Note: with IGPEnabler=Yes, the rest are defaults when mobile HD4600 is detected)

Clover:
config.plist/Graphics/Inject/Intel=true
config.plist/Graphics/ig-platform-id=0x0a260006

Awesome, thank you! It now works, and has 1GB of VRAM dedicated to it.

Seriously thank you so much, I've been trying to get this working for the past few days but none of the tutorials I found were working.

Thanks again.

The fake ID doesn't work for me in OSX 10.10.1. System info still displays 7MB of VRAM.

Among the other IDs I have tried are 0x04128086 and 0x00000000 (Clover default) which both do not work.

My build is as follow.

Core i5 4460 4/4 3.2-3,4GHz 6MB L3
Asrock H97 Pro 4
Crucial 16G (8G x2) Ballistic Sport
Toshiba 3.5" 1TB
120GB Sandisk Ultra 2
Sharkoon VS4-V
Acbel iPowerG 750 ATX

Cheers,
Robin.

What version of OS X? What bootloader are you using?

No need for FakeID on Mavericks for HD4600 mobile.

Also, that's quite a laptop you have there. It must be a beast. Seriously, desktop questions should be posted in the appropriate desktop forum.

Hey RehabMan,
i got the same problem and i tried the method you suggested but it does't work. Can you please help me?

Im using:
  • OS X El Capitan
  • Clover
  • Intel HD 4600 mobile
  • everything on my Acer Aspire VN7-591G

I just put Sierra on my z97-hd3 and only showing 5MB of VRAM..I used Clover to install Sierra so my question is, how do I edit my config.plist to add the two lines shows above? Thanks in advance.
