Here's the step by step way to update:Repair Permissions using the Disk Utility on the drive to be updated;*
Backup your current installation using Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper;
Download the latest MultiBeast for Mavericks which has the latest ACL8xy audio drivers**;
Download the Combo Update and run the Combo Update to update to 10.9.5;
Re-boot;
Run MultiBeast for Mavericks and just select your audio driver to install and, optionally, the 10.9.4+ TRIM patch;
Re-boot; and
Repair Permissions again.*
If you have TRIM enabled, check to see if it was affected by this update.
Note: Audio may/can/will disappeared after an auto sleep then wake-up. I manually put my system to sleep for 10 seconds, woke it up and audio returned. If this is a PITA for you to do, use the appropriate audio driver from MultiBeast v6.2.2.
* You can use the Terminal instead of Disk Utility if you feel comfortable with a UNIX command:
Code:sudo diskutil repairPermissions /
**Important: If you last used a MultiBeast version previous to MulitBeast version 6.3 and are updating to 10.9.5, you should do a complete MultiBeast v6.4.2+ configuration "load" using your previously saved ".mb" file. MultiBeast 6.3 changed how audio is accomplished and needs Chimera v3+ to run correctly.
