So I was able to install Mavericks using Unibeast. I had to use a few boot flags to get into the installer (GraphicsEnabler=Yes, PCIRootUID=0, maxmem=2048, -v, -x, npci=0x2000).

However, I can't boot into Mavericks now, even using the same flags above along with others (IGPEnabler=No, USBBusFix=Yes). I tried unplugging all USB devices except for my USB keyboard/mouse but it keeps getting stuck at "USBMSC identifier (non-unique)" etc.

Any help with this would be appreciated as I can't even get in to the system to run MultiBeast at this point :(

Thank you

Bump

Any help is appreciated!

Has anyone else been able to solve this issue?

Hello pal,
I would suggest to unplug ALL devices INCLUDING the mouse and keyboard as you can try to connect them again once the booting process has completed.

Thanks, I'll try that later tonight and report the results

So I took your advice, and this time it gave one USBMSC error, then an error about AppleVIAATADriver (see attached).

What's interesting is I plugged in my keyboard/mouse and notice another USBMSC error, so it does seem that was causing an issue and removing it during boot did seem to help, but now I'm not sure what's causing the other error.

I dual boot with Windows 8.1 so I used MacDrive from Windows to move that kext to the mac desktop, and still got the USB error. I realized I have an internal card reader that I believe is powered by USB so I disabled USB completely from BIOS and used a PS/2 keyboard, but now it's stuck at "[RealtekRTL81xx: init] init completed"

I left it that way for a while and it didn't change (see attached).
