Hello,

I am attempting to build my first Hackintosh.

Here is my setup:

GB Z87N-Wifi
Corsair CS Series 450 Watt
i3-4360
2 x Crucial Ballistix 4GB DDR3 1600
Samsung 840 EVO 120GB
TP Link TL-WDN4800
BitFenix Mini-ITX

I have created a unibeast drive off of my Mac Mini with Mavericks 10.9.4. I have set the bios to optimized defaults, upon boot after the initial unibeast screen the install fails shortly after the white apple screen (see attached photo).

As a test I have installed Unbuntu to make sure all the hardware is working correctly. It installs perfectly and is quite fast (not used to an SSD drive :)

I have tried (separately and together):
-x
-v
GraphicsEnabler=No
maxmem=4096

No luck, still fails at the same point.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Rod

Disable VT-d in BIOS

Boot with -v -x and post another picture of the screen when it stops.

Good Luck

Thank you very much for the reply.

VT-D is grayed out. It says Enabled but I cannot change it. I did a few searches to see if there was someway to disable it, but I cannot find anything.

Thanks again, P1lgrim

Tried different ways of disabling VT-D with no luck.

Appreciate any suggestions. :)

Thanks

Tried different ways of disabling VT-D with no luck.

Usually when you can't disable VT-d it's because you have a K series processor.
Is the i3 4360 in your profile actually an i3 4360K ?

Booting with dart=0 has the same effect as disabling VT-d

edit: Disregard - There is no i3-4360K

Hey I am also new to this, but I did build a duo boot Hackintosh yesterday, and I am using it right now and it worked fine for me.
My suggestion is this: try to flash your BIOS, you go to your motherboard website first, and find the model of your motherboard and download the BIOS update, there are plenty of vids on youtube teach you how to upgrade your BIOS. Last time my old PC also, some BIOS settings I cannot change, I think it is because the PC is too old and the manufacturer don't wan to update the BIOS anymore.

Hope this will work for you!
Let me know how it goes!
GOOD LUCK!:headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang:

Thanks again for any and all suggestions. I tried the dart=0 with -x -v. Attached is a picture of the result. Seems to be the similar to the other panic.

Regards,
Rod
