Hello everyone, Thank you for all your work making hackintoshes possible. This is my first build and had a bit of

My configuration:
Gigabyte Z97MX Gaming 5.
Intel i5 4460
Nvidia Geforce 640
Asus Led 1920x1200 using DVI cables to connect to the Nvidia
2 x 4gb corsair vengeance DDR3 RAM 1866mhz (Only using 1 stick for installation)
PNY SSD 120gb drive

1. I have successfuly prepared the USB as per mavericks guide.
2. Follow the process and install mavericks in my hardrive. (BIOS: Sata: ACHI, memory setting -> Profile 1, VT-D -> Disable, XHCI Mode -> disable)
Not sure if I would need to update the BIOS at this point.

3. After installation finished rebooted again and selected my new installation a per the guide... BooM Stuck in the apple logo with the spinning wheel. I have posted the screen after using the -v mode.

It says something about Powermanagment incomplete or unsupported, also some bluetooth controler missing. I have the undestanding i need to load a kext for the 4600 intel graphics, but without booting i can't do it, nor use multibeast to configure the rest of the configuration.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you again.

Regards,

Are you installing on integrated or discrete graphics? you mention you are trying to get HD4600 working for the install yet you are connected to the DVI port on your GT640?.

Hello wildwillow, Yes I have the DVI cable connected to the geforce 640 directly.
Thank you

Hi jonatanrojas,

Enter your BIOS and set First Init Display to PCI, just under that setting disable the onboard Intel graphics. Press F10 save and exit and once you get to the Chimera Boot screen boot with the flag -x(safe mode) and see if this allows you to complete registration of OS X and run MultiBeast.

Perfect. I'll try that and will post my results, hopefully it works.
By the way do you think might be worth flash the Bios to a newer version if this doesn't work.??

i would test the previous suggestions but yes its a good idea to be up to date with the latest BIOS.

Hello, your suggestion and the -x worked like a charm.
use multibeast to select the appropiate features. Now the system want to boot without the usb, but got stuck in the ape screen again , but now is different ... Something with applehd.... check uploaded sceeen.
also i uploaded the multibeast config...

thank you

Edit jul 24 23:00;

i updated the bios and the computer booted perfectly...
now i have to try the AUDIO and the LAN to see if they are working...

so far : the video card geoforce 640 was natively recognized, the monitor display the proper name with the resolution working perfectly...

happy with the progress.
