Hi!
For the 3d day I'm trying to install Mavericks on my DIY PC. Past multiple install stops, but can't get past this one.
"DRMStatus: iTunes/Apple Store Content Access Problem"

Motherboard : ASUS Z97-PRO [Wi-Fi ac]
CPU : i5 - 4670K, 3.4 Ghz
took out graphics card.
Disabled in BIOS : Ethernet, WiFi, HD Audio Controller
Changed to "AUTO" USB Config - xHCI Mode

ASUS Z97-PRO : Install Stuck on DRMStatus: iTunes/Apple Store Content Access Problem

Is this post installation fix? Or should I change files on my flash before installing?
I did run with video card (ASUS Geforce GTX 750ti) and installation didn't go that far. Used
-x -v PCIRootUID=0 and -x -v PCIRootUID=0 GraphicsEnabler=No didn't make any difference.

Thinking to install Win7.

This is a problem with iTunes support for internal/onboard graphics. iTunes uses the power of the graphics card to decrypt DRM protected music/media. The DRMStatus error comes about when the onboard graphics or your graphics card is not supported for DRM decryption.

The good news is that your system can run OSX if you get this error. The bad news is that this error makes the system needlessly hang at startup.

The solution that worked for me was to purchase an inexpensive graphics card (GeForce GT 640), but any card from the list in the Buyer’s Guide should fix this problem. I also disabled the onboard graphics (in my case Intel HD2500 on an i3 chip) in the BIOS and set the new graphics card to the default video output.

I would suggest putting your graphics card back in and setting it to be the default card for boot and disabling your internal graphics. Graphics cards generally will run in a ‘safe mode’ when their drivers haven’t loaded yet. The other option is to swap the graphics card for one that is supported by default by OSX.

[SOLVED] ->
I was banging my head on the walls but finally an idea comes to mind...
- boot with "-x" (safe boot)
go in Applications folder, locate iTunes, right click on it, select "Show Package Contents", and delete the "Contents" folder.

Now you can reboot, and will work. It worked for me.

Succes!

Hi,
I'm building my first Hackintosh and I have the same problem :
"DRMStatus: iTunes/Apple Store Content Access Problem. Content playback may be disabled on this computer. You can Continue to use the machine, but you should contact an Apple support representative. ErrorCode: 8877652"

I tried the following things to no avail :
- "-x"
- disabling motherboard graphic card in BIOS.
- switching from HDMI to DVI on the graphic card.
- legacy mode and not legacy mode in Unibeast.
- front and back USB 2.0

My config :
-
Intel Core i7 4790K - 4Ghz
- gigabyte z97x-ud5h
-
EVGA GeForce GTX 970 ACX 2.0 4Go
- Antec P100

I'm stuck with this since yesterday. Any ideas ?

- boot with "-x" (safe boot)
go in Applications folder, locate iTunes, right click on it, select "Show Package Contents", and delete the "Contents" folder.

You mean on my machine running Unibeast ?
Because I tried the safe boot but it didn't change the fact that I couldn't boot my USB dongle on my build.
