Does Kext Wizard support it and why is the extra folder maintenance tab greyed out?

So im confused. You say it does matter and to run it but yet the Extra folder is greyed out and doesn't let you select it in the maintenance tab. So whats the point of running it?

If you need a Kext installer, use Kext Beast- http://www.tonymacx86.com/downloads.php?do=cat&id=3

Kext Wizard is not a supported tool here.

"The reason the Extra option is greyed out is because you don`t have a Kext folder in your Extra folder.
(leftover from the "good old days" where some kexts had to be in the Extra/Kext folder - but some people still have)
The most important thing is to Rebuild Cache as important info is stored in the cache and probably info about UUID´s"

Ok maybe im misunderstanding how it works. I'm just confused cause you say its important to do it after every plist edit or change in the extra folder but yet the utility doesn't touch the extra folder.

And i dont know if its related but i had my first kernel panic on bootup directly after running kext wizard last night. Never had one on this machine before up until last night after using it.
