Soo I'm playing around with a PC to try get a stable hackintosh going.

Specs are:

Intel Pentium G3220
EVGA 1GB DDR3 GT210
GA H87M-HD3

I'm aware the mobo is Mac ready, but I've heard different stories about the CPU.

At the minute my 10.9 unibeast sticks haven't even booted... BUT I did get somewhere with the 10.8 and 10.8.5 unibeast sticks I possess. The 10.8 just gets a black screen immediately after any flags are entered and booted, or if no flags it sits on the apple logo with no spinning wheel. The 10.8.5 gets all the way to the Ethernet address then it kinda pauses. It doesn't freeze as the spinning loading wheel is in the top left and the mouse can be moved around. It was left for 4 hours to load and it just stayed there.

Could anybody give me a nudge in the right direction? Thanks in advance,

regards, Jack :)

Intel G3220 + GT210 Install trouble (future guide)

Well I finally got 10.8.2 installed with a custom kernel. I'm now working on getting 10.9 - 10.9.2 installed. If I do I'll write up a quick guide for anyone with similar hardware:

CPU: Intel G3220 Haswell
GPU: EVGA GT210 1024mb DDR3
RAM: 8GB DDR3
PSU: Generic 350w

Seems that Mavericks is a no go, I tried a few kernels and kexts on the unibeast stick. Stuck at XPCM at first, then the kernel replacement fixed that. After that, I couldn't get past hfs. I'm trying to install vanilla 10.8.5, if successful I shall write a guide for Pentium G3220 Haswell.

Okay, 10.8.5 is installed and is operating to a working standard using a few methods. Currently I'm using the HD Intel Graphics of my G3220 instead of my EVGA GT210. If I boot without any flags, I lose USB ports, but I'm working on it.

A detailed guide for 10.8.5 will be done soon and I'll post a link here to the guide, which will be in the Desktop 10.8 guide.

Well the USB's have been fixed and now the system is booting normally..ish.... I have lost the ability to use my EVGA GT210. I'm having to use the G3220's onboard gpu, the Intel HD Graphics. It's working, but with only 64mb of shared memory...

I'll report back soon...
