Brought this older board some new OS recently for a friend of mine, thought I'd share the steps I took here!

Use Unibeast Walkthrough to create boot USB:

http://www.tonymacx86.com/374-unibeast-install-os-x-mavericks-any-supported-intel-based-pc.html

*If boot seems screwy, reset to optimal configuration and change HPET to 64-bit in Bios
Also, in Advanced BIOS Features, change Virtualization Technology to Disabled!

Boot USB using F12 and using -v -x flags.

Install OS X

Restart

Boot USB once again with OS X HD selected using -v -x flags.

*** If Boot0 error appears on initial startup:

http://www.tonymacx86.com/25-boot0-error-official-guide/comments2.html#comments

From website:

Boot back into USB using flags -v -x, open Disk Utility and unmount OS X partition. Make a note of Sata port IE disk1s2 in this example by selecting the unmounted partition and choosing “info"

open terminal and type:

dd if=/Volumes/USB/usr/standalone/i386/boot1h of=/dev/disk1s2
(All one line with a space between "boot1h" and "of=")

Restart

Load G41MES2Lconfig.mb using multibeast and install using provided custom DSDT.aml

Restart with no flags.

Check sound and ethernet. Run any APP updates (not system updates).

iMessage will not work, run fix here:

http://www.tonymacx86.com/general-help/110471-how-fix-imessage.html

For HWSensors, go to:

https://github.com/kozlek/HWSensors

Look for the source forge link for the latest version near the bottom of the page.

Any questions, post up here and I'll do my best to respond! Good luck, this took SEVERAL hours and trial and error. Special thanks to Hawaii50 and Solar from insanelymac for assistance!

Have you installed 10.9.1 yet? I was wondering if we need a patched AppleRTC for this MB? I am running a patched one but I am unsure if its needed or not?

From your config file it looks like you did need it. Why the 3rd party sata?

Thanks

osxfr33k: Sorry for such a late response, I never got notification you responded to this thread. The update to 10.9.1 was already released when I ran the install and worked fine. However, yesterday we tried the 10.9.2 update and the PC is now freezing on the login screen. I'm currently reinstalling Mavericks (everything was backed up via time machine to another drive thankfully) and do not plan on going passed 10.9.1 in the future. :)

To answer your questions, I went with my gut with a lot of the setup for this config file and am not sure if my board requires a patched AppleRTC it or not. I installed third party SATA support for a USB 3.0 card I never installed I believe. Otherwise, unsure of the reason to be honest.

bro thanks a lot! your DSDT worked like a charm! but theres one problem whenever i plugin a usb while running mavericks the whole system freezes...any solution for this?
