Hello Everyone,

I just built a hackintosh from the following parts using Unibeast 3.0.1 and Multibeast 6.0.0:
CPU: i5 4570S
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-H87-D3H
RAM: 8GB 1600MHz Crucial
Graphics: Integrated Intel HD4600
Drive: Seagate 1TB 7200RPM

During the installation process with Unibeast, I had to use the following boot flags: "-x PCIRootUID=1 GraphicsEnabler=1"

Installation went smoothly, then I used Multibeast and applied the following settings:

Unfortunately, I have to use safe mode and PCIRootUID=1 to boot. Is there any way I can get out of safe mode? Which combinations of BIOS settings should I try? So far I haven't found much success.

When I boot without any boot flags, this is where the startup hangs:

At this point, what would you recommend? Thanks in advance!

Hi Zaser.

Have you or could you try disabling Vt-D in your BIOS. As you have a Non "K" Version Intel processor.

Hi Zaser,

i was facing similar problems with my Hackintosh - and i got it to work after several days with try-out of different settings
But I'm not quite sure why

My Config is:
- GA H87-D3H
- i5-4670 (no K version, because i don't want to over clock)
- 8 GB Ram (with CL 9-9-9-24)
- Geforce GTX 650 Ti Boost (from Gigabyte)
- 120 GB SSD Sandisk Extreme
- 3TB WD Red HDD
- DVD is Sony Optiarc AD-7200
- DeLock 89109 (for FW interface)

In Bios Settings i used the recommended settings
xHCI mode = auto
xHCI Hand Off = enabled
EHCI Hand Off = enabled
X.M.P. memory profile = profile1
Vt-D disabled

After setting up OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) i ran Multibeast with the following settings:

MultiBeast Configuration - 2013-11-07 02:38:52-----------------------------------------
Quick Start > DSDT Free
Drivers > Disk > 3rd Party SATA
Drivers > Disk > TRIM Enabler > 10.9.0 TRIM Patch
Drivers > Graphics > Intel Graphics Patch for Mixed Configurations
Drivers > Misc > FakeSMC v5.3.820
Drivers > Misc > FakeSMC v5.3.820 Plugins
Drivers > Misc > FakeSMC v5.3.820 HWMonitor Application
Drivers > Misc > USB 3.0 - Universal by Zenith432
Drivers > Network > Intel - hnak's AppleIntelE1000e v2.5.4d
Drivers > System > Patched AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement > OS X 10.9.0
Drivers > System > AppleRTC Patch for CMOS Reset
Bootloaders > Chimera v2.2.1
Customize > Boot Options > Basic Boot Options
Customize > Boot Options > Generate CPU States
Customize > Boot Options > Hibernate Mode - Desktop
Customize > Boot Options > Use KernelCache
Customize > Boot Options > 1080p Display Mode
Customize > System Definitions > Mac Pro > Mac Pro 3,1
Customize > Themes > Chameleon 2.2 Default

With this setup i booted WITHOUT ANY flags - and it works (i'm just writing this reply on my new Hackintosh)

My problem is, that i don't know why it works this time and not with some previous settings i tried out earlier.

Nevertheless - try the above mentioned settings - good luck

Hello Wildwillow, thank you for your response. Yes, I have tried this, but it has not fully solved my problems.

Hello Rub02,

I just applied all of your BIOS and multibeast settings, besides the graphics patch and trim enabler... And it works!! Thank you so much!

Do you use sound? I noticed that you did not check the sound driver in your multibeast settings.

Regardless, you just made my day!

Hi Zaser,

Good to know, that it works on your HW as well :D.
Problems like these can drive your crazy.

Regarding to the sound problem: No, i don't hear any sound on my Hack-Mac.
From other blogs here at tonymacx86 i know, that there is a sound problem, especially when you connect your display via HDMI (as i do).
I have tried an external sound-box connected to the sound jacks - without success.
The system settings (sound) tell me, that OSX has not found any sound device. :(
I hope this issue will be fixed from someone, who has better knowledge in hacking.
I'm a newbie to Hackintosh and have not the necessary knowledge to solve this issue.
I'm just struggeling with a dual boot problem on my HW, but that's a different story.

regards RUB

----------- amendment to my post :
Sorry, i was so exited, that OSX now starts without any flags, that i've forgotten to install the sound driver
In the meantime i've corrected this and added :
Drivers>Audio>Realtek ALC>Without DSDT> ALC892
Drivers>Audio>Realtek ALCxxx>Without DSDT>HDAEnabler (was set up automatically)
After that, OSX recognized a sound output channel. In system setting (sound) i choose internal loudspeaker and could hear a sound in my external sound-box connected via the sound jacks. The quality isn't good; you can hear sound with random noise, but you can hear something.
So far, so good.
I still cannot hear a sound from my display via HDMI, but that was 'announced' in several blogs here at tonymacx86. As far as i know, there is no solution for HDMI-sound up to now.

I hope this helps to clarify
regards RUB

RUB,

In previous multibeast attempts, I did use the No DSDT Realtek ALC 892 setting. I am currently using motherboard to display HDMI, and on board sound works for me. Try this, and let me know if you have any success!

To wildwillow:

The guide looks very complicated.
First of all: Do i understand it right, the we have to install a DSDT.aml file ?
Im asking because the standard Haswell installation guide recommends to do a non-DSDT installation with Multibeast !

With the new 6.0.1 update, here is my multi beast settings file. I chose the iMac 14,1 config because I am using the exact same parts as it.
