autodesk maya 2013 works great on lion.....hackintosh
amazing 3d software and it should be at 3800 dollars

on both setups the i7 one is of course faster...

i7 build is using a nvidia gtx460oc (336 cuda cores)
i3 build is using a nvidia gtx650 (384 cuda cores)
both work great and decent frame rated

Glad you got it to work!
Im using maya 2013 sp2 with 10.8 and crashes at splash screen with nothing in console to describe.

Have an i7 -2600 @ 3.4 but an AMD Radeon HD6700 series

What could it BEE?
