Assistance with default web browser

Hi all, hoping I'm posting in the right place, and that somebody could help me out with this..

I use plex media server to stream media files to my chromecast from my laptop.

The issue I'm having is the application opens safari as default.

Safari is my preferred browser, however chomecast belonging to chrome, of course needs to open in chrome browser to "cast" to my tv.

I cannot find any settings anywhere to change the default browser for this app.

Is there a .plist file of some sort in general that can be edited for something like this?

*additional info, clicking the applications icon on the dock simply opens a web page, so perhaps I can set a certain web address, or html page etc to open in a certain browser?

I assume that you try to set Chrome as your default web browser...?
