Everyone's favorite cross-platform benchmarking program Geekbench has been updated to version 3. The tool is free to use in 32-bit mode, but if you want to unlock the 64-bit mode, the app will cost you $9.99 for OS X, or $14.99 for Windows, Linux and OS X versions.

Thanks for notifying us Tony.
Memory scores seem more accurate.
I tried to tweak my memory numerous times with old version, but it seems it was performing at spec after all.
I am running 10.8.3.
Systems above 10.8.3 and/or running 64 bit show 10k+.
I score 8.9+ with similar spec hardware.
Intel 3350p 3.1, Gskill Ripjaw 1600, Giga H75md3h.

Thanks for the heads up.
For the first time, running GeekBench under OS X and Windows gives me very similar results.
Usually windows systems wiped the floor with OS X on my builds.

I like the new single core reporting feature also.

According to the Geekbench forum, OSX 10.7 is the minimum supported version of OSX for Geekbench 3, though I was able to run it on my old Mac Mini running OSX 10.6.8
