Edit (15th of january 2014):

As this build gets so much attention I think I have to clarify some details.

I am NOT the builder of this mod. I got the permission of the "modder" to present the mod here. The original thread of the build has been in a german forum, which name I am not allowed to post, and has already been deleted. The admins of the source forum are a little restictive....

All credit goes to the user "sascha288", he is the owner and builder of that case.

Because I have been threatened to get sued by the german forum admins, I had to remove the link to the original post. I'm not a professional in internet law/rights and just wanted to help.

-----------

I am writting on behalf of a user from a german Forum (had to delete the link… o_O )

Okay! That is a great hack.

Good modding,

Very Cool design. Fitting ATX PSU and graphics card in there also shows that the cylinder form factor is actually quite viable compared to a traditional rectangular shape. My only suggestion would be to make the back IO panel out of solid panel (without holes) this would fully realise the single air column for cooling. Final result is impressive, I suspect there was significant time put into this one.

Wow, great work! I hate the new mac pro's design though ;)

Idle chipset temps are a little high aren't they?

Also I probably would have used a High CFM fan on the bottom like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA3SD1AM2105 and a lower CFM fan on the top like a thermalright ty-140 which provides ~ 75CFM providing positive air pressure.

Another addition to consider would be a drop down top like the mac pro and putting wifi antennas between the fan and the plastic top.

Great build idea!! :)

The ingenuity that has gone in to everything deserves praise.

I think if the builder considered a compact water-cooling set-up such as Corsair or Antec those fearsome temperatures may be helped.
