I've been trying to run OS X Lion on my Lenovo W530 for a while now. I have most things working, but I have not been able to get graphics acceleration working. I just updated to 10.7.5 which has support for Intel HD 4000 graphics, but I have not been able to get it working properly.

I tried to follow this guide: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-lion-desktop-support/61216-10-8-how-enable-hd4000.html. I've tried most or all of the keys in the guide. Most of them cause the screen to go black as OS X load (sending video to a non-existent monitor?), but I can still log in.

When I put the key for ig-platform-id: 01660003 in my org.chameleon.boot.plist, everything seems to work. I get the normal resolution options, menu bar transparency works, and the System Profile shows the correct information.

But what actually shows up on the screen is this:

The colors are really weird, I only see the left half of the desktop, and everything flickers a little.
Does anyone know what would cause this or have any ideas on how to fix it? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, tecnifigher

Update:

I've tried using gfxutil to generate a custom strings for ig-platform-id: 01660003 with my device location, but I still get the same problem.

Everything with the graphics seems to work except for displaying things properly. I'm not sure what else to try now, so any ideas would really help.

I suggest you try this, which works greatly on my case.

Add an entry to org.chameleon.Boot.plist
Code:
<key>device-properties</key>[/COLOR][/COLOR][COLOR=#444444][COLOR=#444444] <string>5e0000000100000001000000520000000100000002010c00d041030a000000000101060000027fff04002c0000004100410050004c002c00690067002d0070006c006100740066006f0072006d002d006900640000000800000003006601</string>[/COLOR][/COLOR][COLOR=#444444][COLOR=#444444]
[/COLOR][/COLOR]
No extra work needed.

That key does the same weird graphics thing as the other one, so its doing something. How do you get those keys? Is there a way I can generate one that might work better for my computer?
