I had an opportunity to setup a friend’s new laptop:
-10.7.4 Mac Apps download with Unibeast onto 8GB Drive
-Removed original windows drive, installed OCZ Agility 3 180GB, no firmware update as already with >2.05.
-Loaded Unibeast onto my spare 20GB Partition (of already working HACK system, GA-P67).
-Restart and get back to my already functioning GA-P67 hack.
-Format the SSD into two partition with MBR (165GB as main OSX/15GB as Backup)
-CCC the just fresh installed 10.7.4 onto both partition.
-Put SSD into Fujitsu laptop.
-Boot with rBoot and boot into 165GB OSX
-Hook up USB keyboard and setup
-Do Show All Files.
-Copy over Unibeast Extra folder onto 165GB OSX
-Ran Multibeast: System Utilities, TRIM Support, Linix2Mac Ethernet, and Bootloader.
-Restart without issue.
-Kextbeast the ALC269 from OSx86 (search: LH531), Voodoo Audio. 2.7.2 from MB crashed one time.
-Kept the raw 10.7.4 on 15GB partition just in case if I want to get clone back.
-HD3000 just works stragith out of Unibeast/rBoot, closing the lid turned off screen / not sleep.
-Shutdown / Restart works. Ctrl+Alt+Del
(Don’t care: found USB built-in camera, card reader, d-sub connection for external connection, sleep never wakes up – set to never sleep it, intel 6205 wireless)
-Tried a few hours on getting the 64bits, but always get 64bits Kernel Extension = No. Probably because extra folder was copied from Unibeast drive.
-handed back the laptop and he was happy enough.
Regarding my initial Unibeast directly on Laptop using GUID partition, installed more than 20 times, bootloader never comes up, was able to boot with rBoot/Unibeast drive. Spending two nights alone on this issue was enough to cut it.
I hope this info helps someone.
