I have the following build:

 • 1.66 GHz Core i7 CPU (Quad-Core, I7-720QM, 1.6, 6MB-cache)
 • 6GB RAM
 • 500GB 7200RPM Hard Disk
 • NVIDIA® NVS 3100M Dedicated Video

Everything works except for the touchpad/eraser mouse pointer. Any ideas on how I can get this to work?

I was looking at - http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/to...s-x-1068-full-retaill-on-dell-latitude-e6510/

and saw "drag the ApplePS2Controller.kext and the IntelE1000e.kext into the Kexter Program (this provides your ethernet adapter and your touchpad mouse controller)"

but not sure where I can get those kexts...

What trackpad is in the laptop?

Thanks.

For ALPS you would need to use a driver that supports ALPS. My official builds primarily support Synaptics. The procedure for installing is the same regardless.

It looks like there is a modified version which merged the alps driver support into your synaptics supported driver.

1. Where can I download and install a kext program - i.e. kext wizard?
2. Your instructions reference specific versions, but I'm not sure what they are referring to versions of - i.e.

"For versions 1.8.0, 1.8.1, and 1.8.2, ProBook users not..."
and "In addition, as of version 1.7.4,"

Version 1.x.x of what? How do I check to see what version I have?

Google can be helpful with such matters.

My instructions refer to the versions I provide for download.
