I have an MSI H61M-P31 (G3) motherboard which has Realtek ALC887 audio:

I have installed MultiBeast using EasyDSDT and selected AppleHDA rollback and the non-DSDT ALC887 codec and then rebooted but I am not seeing any audio output devices - any ideas?

I have a working DSDT for the MSI H61M-P31 (Bios v2.5), and installed Mountain Lion. Everything works perfectly for me (based on limited testing), with the exception of sleep, for now. I might try to mess with it a little more, but it seems that sleep may be impossible with an unpatched bios. In any case, you are welcome to try my DSDT out. Rename to DSDT.aml, place on desktop, and install with the UserDSDT option on multibeast. Also choose the DSDT version of ALC888b/ALC887 patched AppleHDA in multibeast. You should probably also delete all those extraneous kexts that EasyBeast installs (can't remember what these are off the top of my head, check the tooltip in multibeast for EasyBeast). FakeSMC and NullCPUPowerManagement should suffice with this DSDT. You might get kernel panics with the other kexts.

You think you can repost your DSDT for this mobo? The link doesnt work anymore. Or describe how you created it?

Much appreciated.

If you dont mind I could use that dsdt as well. please message me or send link thanks.

MSI H61M-P31 g3, intel celeron, nivdia 620 gpu.
I used multibeast 3.10.1 for SL, installed the sound drivers and the nivida drivers only. Sound works but you have to go to the sound utillies
and check speekers or front headphones. Still can't change res.

Do not select both of those - non-DSDT ALC887 for Lion is OK, Apple HDA rollback just installs an earlier stock version of AppleHDA and is no help to you.
You might try a combination of ALC887 and HDAEnabler if just the ALC887 by itself does not work.
