Hey, so I recently installed hackint0sh for the first time on an old PC I had laying around and everything went well except I can't get the network or sound to work.

The motherboard is a ASUSTek P5LP LE, the sound card is Realtek ALC888 and the network card is Intel 82562V.

I installed all the required kext files via multibeast but it still doesn't work. Also when I go into system profiler it says I have no PCI Cards installed so I don't know if this is part of the problem or not?

This might seem like a really stupid suggestion but try going into System Preferences and changing the audio output (that it if you have the correct drivers installed via MultiBeast). And I don't really have any suggestions about the network (except that the right drivers aren't installed).

Now if that doesn't work, then I would check that you have the correct drivers installed.

Also, did you use the DSDT Database to find the correct thing for your motherboard, it makes your life a whole lot easier!

Could you please let us see which Multibeast Options you used?

I already tried going into system preferences but it said there were no output devices. The kext files I installed were the ones that said they allow the hardware I have listed above to work. And there was no DSDT file for my motherboard so I just did easyBeast instead along with the kexts i needed installed.

The attachment shows what kexts I used for the audio and network as well as it shows that theres a volume control in the bar at the top but in system preferences it says there are no output devices even though I have speakers and earbuds both plugged into the computer.

If you use a custom DSDT you should use the above two options for audio. If not you should use the beneath.

Do you have all System Utilities installed? Because this is wrong, you should either use a DSDT or a non-DSDT install not both.

Please list the full multibeast options that you are using.

As i mentioned there is no DSDT file for my motherboard in the DSDT Database and so I did an EasyBeast install along with all the options in the attachments below. I also installed the more updated chimera 1.9.1.

You should not use:

ALC8xxHDA
AppleHDA Rollback

Without a DSDT, only the beneath options.

I deleted the 2 kext files that were installed with those options and then restarted the computer but still no sound. I also haven't been able to figure out the network yet either if you have any ideas about that?
