I purchased a copy of Lion 10.7 online and am having trouble downloading it on a Hackintosh and my wife's Macbook gives me errors trying to downloaded it presumably because she is running 10.10. I'm still new to this whole process. I was trying to install Snow Leopard, but I have an older computer and a newer computer and it's not working well on either. I thought Lion would be the best choice, but should I try to use Mavericks? If so, how do I download Mavericks on a Macbook that is running 10.10. Is there a link that explains how to do this? And then of course, will I be able to use Unibeast on it?

Sorry for all the questions, but I'm spending so much time on Google not finding answers.

Hardware specs of the 2 computers?

Why not buy the Retail Snow Leopard DVD and install with it?
