So happy! I had loads of problems with Snow Leopard.

Setup (this was in the machine during installation):
ASRock P67 Pro3
Sapphire Radeon 6850 1GB
Intel320 120GB HDD
Corsair XMS1600 8GB
Deltaco Bluetooth USB adapater
PCIe Firewire Combo Card, TI Chipset

Here is what I did.

Followed the Unibeast instructions, how to make bootable USB stick.

Plugged in the USB stick into the backside ports of the case, the frontside USB ports on my case gave me problems.
No extra parameters used what so ever.

Install was flawless, rebooted, updated to 10.7.4 combo update. Ran Multibeast. Reboot.

Here, was my first problem, now all I was getting was a black screen. Problem was, PCIRootUID=1.
Ran Multibeast, with PCIRoot fix.

Now everything is perfect.

I have yet to try out my Firewire PCIe ComboCard and the Network. I havn't tryed DSDT (sleep/awake) yet either, but I'm not really in the need for it. Since it's a studio computer, it's either on or off.

And I'm using a USB soundcard also.

Make me wonder, if this was such a breeze, if I shouldn't have gone for Mountain Lion directly. Oh well :)

Hey,

Did you upgrade your system to mavericks?

Hopefully, eriklodr has subscribed to his guide - he hasn't been on the Forum since July 2013.

Hey,

Did you upgrade your system to mavericks?

Sorry for the absence :)

No, I did not. But I've just installed Yosemite on it.
As this machine has been running Linux for some time now for just raw cpu power.
Everything seems to work (for what I need), but not the OC. Just changed System Definition, screen goes black hehehe :). Have to swtich it back to 3,1 I guess.

Also running a GT430 Nividia instead from Radeon in the original post.
