Hi guys,

First of all: I've searched around online and on this forum for this problem, but I can only find solutions involving Windows or solutions that have not proven to work for me. Thanks for taking time to help me out!

What happened: After having successfully installed El Capitan on my 500GB SSD, I wanted to try installing Linux too. I made a Ubuntu install drive, made a new partition in El Capitan for Ubuntu and installed Ubuntu to that partition after reformatting it to the correct format. Soon after that, I decided I didn't need Linux after all and decided to remove it by removing the partition in El Capitan's Disk Utility. This succeeded and my disk had all the space that was previously there.

Now, when I boot into Clover, I still get a 'Boot Linux from whole disc boot' and when I exit from Clover, I get the following error message: "Error: no such partition Grub Rescue"

This is an issue, because I'd like to install Windows 10 and the installation USB is not booting, because GRUB is taking over. How can I solve this? Can I just remove GRUB somewhere?

The issue seems to be solved. What did the trick - I think - was to boot into the Mac OS recovery partition from Clover.

Boot with a Live DVD, purge grub from the drive. The Ubuntu forum has a detailed tutorial on purging and re-installing grub.
