Hi,

I previously installed on my laptop Yosemite, however I wish to install Linux Mint on it.
I tried several times to start at least the Mac OS Installer and delete the Mac partition on SSD but even the USB drive containing the Mac OS installer is not booting properly.

I also tried to create a Linux Mint usb bootable drive but is not even booting from it.
I changed the BIOS settings to defaults, selected manually the USB drive to boot from it never boots properly from USB drive.

Don't know what to do in this case... :banghead:
Any ideas friends?...

I know that this is an old thread, but for those that may come across this type of problem, you would need to boot from a Linux Live CD or Live USB (Mint 64bit). You want to use GParted to view and delete all partitions (don't forget to hit the APPLY arrow). If it is Mint or Ubuntu there is also a program called Disks that works in conjunction with GParted. One has to be absolutely sure that one chooses the correct disc in a multi disc system; "Discs" will show all the disks.
