Hey,

I have a Sony Vaio T-Series (SVT15115CXS) and I followed the tutorial for installing El Capitan on my laptop.

Everything works fine up until I boot from the USB and boot the Mac OS from clover. I get an apple logo accompanied with a loading bar which reaches halfway before the screen is taken by a stop sign.

Is my laptop compatible with this OS? How can I fix this issue?

Thank you very much in advance!

Follow the Clover guide linked from the FAQ.

I assume you would like me to give info on my PC where my signature lacks?

System: Sony VAIO SVT15115CXS (Clover)
CPU: i7-3537U/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1920x1080

I was able to solve my problem to an extent. The prohibitory sign is now the only thing that comes on screen after Missing Bluetooth Controller and the "Still waiting on root device" message is in clear font.

Before this I was getting code 255 (to get rid of that i used ATAInjector and GenericUSB kexts).

Doesn't sound like you followed the guide...

That's because I wasn't. There are plenty of tutorials online, but I figured this would be the forum to address my questions.

With that said, after reading your reply, I did follow your tutorial. Just finished setting it all up and in Clover, the config file is blank. So when I boot Mac OS X I get stuck on "System uptime (number) nanoseconds" and I cannot find anything that fixes this.

How do I tell clover where to find the config?

What do you mean by "config file is blank"?

The config.plist is something you copy from my repo (according to the hardware you have).

Read the guide carefully.

If you need help...

Boot verbose, show photo. Post EFI/Clover folder as ZIP (omit 'themes' folder).

Vague descriptions of your issue not helpful.

This is what I mean. The config section is blank and when i type "config.plist" it just goes away.

This screen takes about two seconds to fill up and then stays here until I power down.View attachment CLOVER.7z

I used 7zip to zip the folder, not sure if this will be an issue.

Please let me know what more information I can provide to you. Thank you.

It is because your config.plist is invalid (it is zero bytes).

The kexts you have in EFI/Clover/kexts/Other are not those linked from the guide.

Read/follow the guide carefully: http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...de-booting-os-x-installer-laptops-clover.html

Wow I'm dumb. So I fixed the config file and am able to boot, however I am running into an issue with the installer. It claims my version of the OS cannot be verified, but I downloaded the OS directly from the App Store and put it on the USB using your "createinstallmedia" method.

On what hardware did you create your USB installer?
