Lenovo y510p - Yosemite (help from 0)

Lenovo y510p - Hackintosh Yosemite (help install from 0)

Hello everyone :)

I want to install OSX Yosemite on my laptop Lenovo y510p.
- Intel Core i7-4700MQ
- Intel HM86
- 12 GB (SO-DIMM DDR3, 1600 MHz)
- NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M
+ Intel HD Graphics 4600

Actually I have a virtual machine with Yosemite on Windows 8.1 (but omg, it working like 90y old man) :crazy:don't know why, but Mavericks works fine.
btw. I have a problem with boot from usb.

Steps:
- Yosemite download from App Store - done
- Format usb drive (SanDisc Cruizer 8GB) in Disk Utility - done
- Use UniBeast 5.0.1 to make bootable usb - done
- Copy MultiBeast to usb - done
- BIOS settings (i block virtualize, ahci activated, legacy first etc.) - done

Now, when i restart my laptop and use boot mode, i use Yosemite (this name is my usb stick) i see screen with animated yosemite mountain and my windows partition. I choose a yosemite. I see gray screen with apple for one second, and windows is started :/

You need to patch the kernel: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks...-locked-msrs-hp-envy-15-j063cl-i7-4700mq.html

Or you can use Clover, which has my patch built-in to the KernelPm option.

For using Clover, I suggest you read here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/hp-proboo...-install-yosemite-hp-laptops-clover-uefi.html. Filter appropriately as some information is HP ProBook specific (omit HPFanReset.efi, most of the stuff in the ProBook Installer, for example).
 
Hey, thank you for answer. I use Clover, I succesfuly make a bootable USB. Use config.plist-GE=Yes-NVIDIA. When I boot from usb i see gray screen and i have my windows partitions and Install OSX Yosemite, when i click that I have a black screen and nothing happenes. :(

Upload your config.plist. Boot verbose and upload quality photo of entire screen.
 
Now I have a little progress.... When I use config.plist-Intel-HD4600-desktop, I can boot from usb but... Now i Have a problem with partitions. I did a 130 GB partition. When I boot from usb and run disk utility, i don't have a "Partition" tab. I tried to make HFS+ partition with gparted, buth utility disk did not see this. Tried make unformatted partition, effect is the same. When i did a raw partition, disk utility didn't see any partition on my hdd, so i back to hfs+ and still nothing :/ When I tried to click install osx yosemite, he say "Yosemite partition don't have GUID Partition Table etc."

The partition tab only shows when you select the disk (instead of a partition as your photo shows).
 
When i select a disk, that save my windows partitions ? Or delete them all ?

Repartition involves wiping out all existing partitions.

Hello!

I have the same Laptop.

i made an USB with unibeast and patched the kernel.
Then i installed yosemite and did the post Installation with multibeast.

now everything works fine exepts:

VGA and HDMI secondary Monitors - Laptop Monitor works but i have sometimes graphic bugs.
internal Audio (usb Audio works)

and i have sometimes a complete freeze, so i have to do a hardreset.


can you please help me to solve These Problems? (especially vga/hdmi monitors and the freezes)

Download patchmatic: https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-MaciASL-patchmatic.
Install it to /usr/bin.

In terminal,
Code: 
mkdir ~/Downloads/RehabMan
cd ~/Downloads/RehabMan
patchmatic -extract

Post contents of Downloads/RehabMan directory (as ZIP).
