First time Hackintosher

Hello people of tonymacx86. First time hackintosher here.

I am a journalist, working a lot with video- so I would like a laptop build that can support editing programs like Final Cut Pro, and Avid. For this, pretty sure I need the following:

Intel processor
couple gigs of ram
ATI/NVIDIA graphics processor
128 mb vram

Any suggestions for what I should choose?

Dual GPU "switched" graphics systems will not support the discrete graphics, so you'll want to look for a machine with dedicated discrete graphics (or the ability to configure it from BIOS).
