Lenovo U430 Touch

Upon booting from a friend's Chameleon Mavericks Unibeast USB Drive, the screen flashes the apple logo briefly, then reboots. In verbose mode, there is a brief message regarding "ACPI table not found". Then it proceeds to read various files for a few minutes, before spontaneously rebooting at the kernel load point. I've tried various boot flags, but none have seemed to change anything. So if anyone knows what is keeping me even from booting into the installer, I'd love to find out.

Oh... I was under the impression that the mach_kernel could only be edited from the OSX install screen and not the pre-boot iBoot menu. So you're saying I can go into, say, my ubuntu partition and run the commands listed in the post you linked me to, and then boot from the USB?
