I hope this isn't an obvious question. I've done a lot of reading and messing around trying to finish my dual boot probook, but I've run into a problem that I haven't found an answer for. Basically, my screen goes pink with vertical lines of various colors after the apple boot screen finishes.
Here is what I did:
I just finished installing osx and windows7 using unibeast. I first set up my partitions, then installed windows, then came back and installed osx. After installing osx, I ran the latest probook installer. Everything seemed fine. When I restarted, chimera gave me the option to boot to windows or osx. Windows is fine, but when I boot to osx, the apple logo comes up fine, but once I finish the boot, the screen goes pink with vertical lines of black and other colors. I can't see anything of any use on my display - just lines. I was thinking that I might have chosen the wrong dsdt in the probook installer? Anyway, now I'm not sure how to go back and fix my mistakes now that I can't see anything inside of osx. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Boot with DSDT=No (Just type DSDT=No, then enter with your ML partition selected in Chimera). Then re-run the Probook Installer being careful to choose the correct DSDT.

Thanks for the quick reply. I was actually right the first time - I didn't enter the wrong graphics, it is the intel hd3000, but for some reason my screen isn't working after running the probook installer. I've tried selecting a number of different combinations in the probook installer to see if I would have any better luck, but no deal. Before running the installer the screen is ok, as is the trackpad, but the wifi does not work. when I restart, the screen doesn't function and I can't see what else is going on. Any other advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

What DSDT did you pick? And what is your complete hardware configuration?

My hardware configuration is:
Intel i5 2450m
Intel hd graphics 3000
wifi - Atheros ar9285
dvd and bluetooth appear to be working
HDD - Toshiba MK5061GSYN ATA device

Would you need more information than that?

Sorry - the DSDT. I chose the Intel i5 and I chose the intel hd 3000 for graphics. I actually went back and then tried using the other graphics card instead, but that didn't work either.

No, there are four different DSDTs for HD3000. Which one?
I ask because it sounds like you picked one of the 1080p versions and it doesn't sound like your laptop has a 1080p display.

oh. sorry. I should have seen that. that was the problem. thanks a lot.

I am using clover bootloader and after applying dsdt having the same display problem. How do you apply or bypass using the DSDT=No using clover to recover from the display black lines etc. on a 4530s.

Thanks !
