Good afternoon all,
I wanted to post a new thread about Mobile Broadband within the Elitebook / probook domain. There are many post about which WIFI card to use with this model- but not too much information with regard to the WWAN setup. I wanted to start some discussion about this topic..

  • Has anyone been able to get the WWAN working on the Elitebook or Probook models?
  • My wirless card is recognised by the BIOS and is turned on
  • Nothing is listed under WWAN or PCI for system information.
  • In addition DCPI manager does not list any WWAN device under PCI list - which I thought odd as it is present in the BIOS settings.

If anyone has any ideas or could shed any light on this subject please drop your thoughts here.:beachball:

I've managed to setup the card to be recognized as WWAN interface in "System Information". The problem is that I cannot create Network adapter service because it is not present in the list of adapters. I have Network strength indicator on the top bar (greyed out), which shows SIM PIN Locked, but the SIM card is not PIN locked.. I suspect that the problem is proper initialization string that should be sent to the card defined in WWAN.ccl.. So any (any, any..) information or help will be highly appreciated :)
