Hey guys so I have a HP probook 4530s that has mountain lion running perfectly on the original 320GB 7200RPM hard drive, but I tried copying it with carbon copy cloner to a 500GB 5400RPM hard drive and that's where I've been having the problems..... When I replace the 320GB with the 500GB the 500 won't boot by itself. When I tried booting from the 500GB I would get that boot 0 error msg. So Iafter I game up on that I put the original back in and placed the 500 in my hard drive caddy installed chameleon bootloader on that did the disk repair then shutdown and switched the hard drives again. So once again trying to boot from the 500GB it now gets stuck on the loading apple logo screen and just keeps loading. I tried booting with the -v flag but that got stuck on the calling register service thing *sad face* I can only boot into the drive if I boot with my unibeast flash drive in the front right port. And I can't just boot into the unibeast installer it just gets stuck on the apple logo screen and freezes. What in the world is going on?!

When you clone a partition from one drive to another, the bootloader is not cloned/copied. So you would need to do that manually (use Chameleon installer or ProBook Installer to install Chameleon).

Without more information about your specific problems (eg. photo of where it fails) when you boot, no idea.

I guess a better question is how do I upgrade my OEM hdd thats 320GB to a 500GB HDD and be able to boot without any problem?

EDIT*

I did a DSDT patch with the probook installer then reinstalled the boot loader. Its booting up fine now YAY!

Yes, it really is just a matter of cloning the partition and installing the bootloader. DSDT would have been carried over as it is in /Extra (and thus part of the clone).
