Hi,
I've been trying to get my HP Elitebook 8770w up and running with OS X 10.10
So far I've been able to get it up and running with the USB, this works flawlessly, it finds my graphics card and sound works and so on.
I used the probook installer with the install options for the 8x70p.
I have also installed windows on the same drive, windows 10 starts fine through the clover boot loader.
I'm kind of stuck with always booting with the usb, which is getting kind of annoying.
would someone be able to help me out with this?
Help is much appreciated ;)

Please provide complete details in your profile/signature
(Profile/Settings link in upper right corner of this site)

System: manufacturer/model + bootloader(Clover/Chameleon/Chimera)
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
System: HP ProBook 4540s (Clover)
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx), and graphics capabilities. For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

Hey RehabMan thank you for the quick reply!

You'll need a different configuration to deal with an Nvidia system.

mustang80: there is only the nvidia card in this laptop, no built in stuff, like hd4000 or other

RehabMan: Im a little lost when you say different configuration, would you mind specifying what you mean with "config"

Uhm sorry I'm a bit slow...
with config, you mean that the probook installer stuff won't work?

The ProBook Installer does not support any laptops with nvidia only.

Use search to find existing threads for your laptop.

Really?? I googled the CPU and it stated HD4000... maybe it's disabled in that laptop

Just because a CPU has integrated graphics, does not mean the OEM enabled it.

You can see what devices you have in CPU-Z in Windows or with 'lspci -nn' in Linux.
