Hello everyone,

I have successfully installed Yosemite UEFI following this guide: "Guide To Install Yosemite on HP Laptops with Clover UEFI", up to stage 12, that is.

I then tried to use HP ProBook Installer Clover Edition, but:

- I am not sure what series the HP 350 G1 is in? 6,7, or 8?

- should I use HP ProBook Installer at all with HP 350 G1?

The installed Yosemite boots without the install thumbdrive. However the pointer moves very jerkily, so there is probably an issue to fix with the trackpad.

If the trackpad worked properly, then I could move on and check wifi, sound, etc...

Thank you for your help,
Manube

I don't see any such selection in the probook installer. You should use the 4x0 G1 selections.

You'll have to test it.

EC reset or you have a bluetooth issue (if you have BT, did you install BTFirmwareUploader?)

Hello RehabMan, and thank you for your patience.

I used the 4x0 G1 selections in Probook Installer, even though my desktop is a 350 G1.

Also, I tried EC reset, which did not work: the trackpad is still jerky.

There is supposed to be built-in bluetooth with the HP 350 G1, but it does not work (yet?) with Yosemite.

I installed BTFirmwareUploader, but it did not solve the trackpad issue.

Well, I think I am just at the beginning of a journey! Here is what is still left to fix:

- trackpad
- wifi
- bluetooth
- sound

Also, I forgot to press F4 at Clover screen. Should I re-install from the start?

Is there a way to deactivate BT/solve the BT issue that would make the trackpad work properly?

Also, I suppose I should buy a recommended Wifi card, as the built-in Ralink is not detected. Should I change the BT as well?

Thank you,
Manube

All bets are off if you fail to follow instructions. Follow the instructions for repatching DSDT.

you are right, of course!

Unfortunately, I have been unable to patch the DSDT.
What I did was I downloaded the one I found in the laptops category: it was called HP Probook 4530s - XU 015 UT - F20.aml.
I renamed it DSDT.aml and placed it on the Desktop of Yosemite.
Then I rebooted, pressed F4 at Clover screen, and booted Yosemite again.
I used HP Probook Installer to try and apply the patched DSDT. It gave me a warning, as if I had not pressed F4.

So I decided to go through the whole process again: reinstall Yosemite, and press F4 at clover.
But I could not boot the USB install anymore: I got a cpu panic "Found 5 threads instead of 4".

Now I would like to just erase the laptop SSD, to try and reinstall Yosemite the right way.

Should I go through the USB install creation from my desktop again? If I do, will there be no more panic message?

Or should I try to link the laptop SSD to my desktop and partition it from there? Is it the SSD that makes the USB install fail to boot, or is it somehow corrupted?

Again, thank you for your help.

Boot from your USB, press F4 at Clover screen, copy the EFI/CLOVER/origin folder in your USB and upload here.

I sense another model being added to the supported list. You will probably need an audio codec dump too.

Which BTW, zBook still needs to be added... (assuming the LPC issues are taken care of).

Hello nguyenmac and RehabMan

Thank you for your kind answers :)

When I can boot from the USB (if not, I can always create another) I will press F4 at Clover screen, copy the EFI/CLOVER/origin folder and upload here.

I will also join the audio codec dump, if I figure out how to do that, that is...

Hello nguyenmac

I copied the directory "EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/origin" (there was no EFI/CLOVER/origin, though I did press F4)

For info, I did the whole install procedure again, but this time I (hopefully) followed the instructions of the "Guide To Install Yosemite on HP Laptops with Clover UEFI" to the letter (using option 2b, ie manually installing Yosemite).

Again, I can boot from the computer. The trackpad works properly before login, but becomes jerky after login. An USB mouse works. There is no wifi, and I don't think bluetooth works either. No sound, either.

And just to be sure: should anything happen when I press F4 at clover screen? A message, or something?

Though I had pressed F4, when I did ran HP Probook Install, using 4.x G1 (even though my laptop is a 350 G1), it gave the warning:

1- you haven't pressed F4
2- you haven't selected the right main model-specific patch

Thank you,
Manube
