ok, so i'm running into some issues with unibeast, is the usb suppose to eject? it ejects, and then unibeast says its finishing installation. My other question also to make sure that i'm doing correctly, when i use unibeast and select installer flash drive, it says installer 1. Is that 1 suppose to be there? So at the end when it shows me what options i selected, laptop, mavericks, it says installer 1. i checked my flash drive partition it says it's named "installer" not "installer 1"

You might see 'installer 1' as the mount point if you already had something else mounted as 'installer'...

i didn't see anything mounted but that may have been the case. i'm trying it to make the flash drive on a macbook pro now though (was using an older imac with mavericks) i'll update this thread with what happens.

so the flash drive was completed apparently. I tried booting up through my hp 4430s and boots up, shows one line of words i can't read because it goes by too quick, then the circle in the top left corner spins for like half a second before staying as "\" symbol with an underscore underneath. I've waited a bit, tried all usbs, and does not get past the "\" symbol, does not boot into chimera bootloader.

hey man respond to my other part if you can, i got past the making usb part.

I worry about your use of the word "apparently"... as if you're not sure. There should be no doubt when Unibeast is done, as it tells you it is done. No guessing recommended or required.

And make sure all external devices are disconnected while trying to boot the installer.

Sorry it said it was successfully created so i'm assuming nothing went wrong. Nothing else is plugged into the laptop just the flash drive. Do i need to hook it up hdmi to a tv? i remember back in the day when i did this on a desktop i had to use hdmi because of the vga. But i don't think that's the case for this laptop, chimera should boot onto the screen right? Maybe my bios options are wrong, what should be disabled and what should be enabled? I've gone through this list and as far as i can tell i have it right.. i don't have to select anything with legacy either right since it's a 4430s not 4x40s? Do you happen to have skype or can you pm me on here so we can respond faster?

What is on your HDD at this point? You could always try initializing it...

BIOS options should be set to default, then modified per the guide.

I already tried resetting to defaults, for 4430s UFEI isn't suppose to be on right? i've tried both either way. Right now on the HDD is Windows 7. Is that the issue? This is frustrating. Here's a video of what i'm talking about.. Are my bios old or something, i really need os x for next week for school.
