webcam doesnt work in photobooth

hey guys, i tried to use my internal webcam in photobooth but it i can only see a loading circle.
skype/facetime works without problems, cam is recognized as hp webcam fixed..
what can i do?

The cam needs a 'tickle' from another application to get active for Photo Booth. You can use CameraControl that came with the Tools in ProbookInstaller. See also.

My laptop doesn't have this issue but I believe you have to start CameraControl *after* starting the intended app (PhotoBooth, FaceTime, etc).
