Hello! :)
Few months ago, I bought a WiFi card (AR5B195 (WiFi + Bluetooth combo card) that I found on a thread here. A member told that this card was compatible, so I bought it.
It worked one time on Windows, but when I restarted, I had an error from the Bios saying that it has disabled some functionnalities.
Now I can't use it on OSX, so I have a request :
Can someone remove the whitelist from the bios please?

Infos :

-Manufacturer: HP

-Motherboard Model: ProBook 4530s (i3 model)

-Bios revision: F.60

-Bios Download Link : https://driverscollection.com/_47451433821cf41417386c46f34/Download-HP-ProBook-4530s-BIOS-v.F.60-Re.A-free

-Original card : RT3592 802.11a/b/g/n 2x2 WiFi adapter + Bluetooth

- IDs :

PCI\VEN_1814&DEV_3592&SUBSYS_1638103C&REV_00
PCI\VEN_1814&DEV_3592&SUBSYS_1638103C
PCI\VEN_1814&DEV_3592&CC_028000
PCI\VEN_1814&DEV_3592&CC_0280

Thank you. :)

Not possible to flash a patched BIOS on the 4530s (well, it could probably be done with a hardware programmer). It is RSA encrypted.

You can rebrand your WiFi card to HP values...

Hey, thanks for the reply! :)
I saw this guide, but I can't use it because it says "No Atheros card found"...

Use the Linux guide. Trying to do this sort of thing in Windows is full of complications.

Can you provide me a link please? :)

The Linux guide is linked from post #1 (see "RECOVERY").

Always read carefully and completely.

It'll not resolve my problem... My actual WiFi card isn't an Atheros one but a Ralink... So I need to put the Atheros one while I'm doing the tutorial?

Oh boy... in post #1 you wrote you purchased an "AR5B195". It is Atheros, not Ralink.

And yes, of course... you need to have hardware installed in order to modify the EEPROM data.

The Linux guide is too complicated.
For the Windows guide, I'm stuck on the first step.
When I install the Atheros AR5B195 in the PCI port, I got an error from the bios (it disables the card) so I can't have the file.

Windows not recommended. Windows is too picky about signed drivers.

Use the Linux guide.
