Hi,

I have two 23" Cinema displays i wan't to connect to my Hackintosh. One is connect to the DVI port and i was planning on connecting the other via the Mini Displayport to DVI adapter i use with my Macbook Air. Only problem is that both Thunderbolt ports on the motherboard are extremely tight and won't accept either of the two Mini Displayport to DVI adapters i have available (both work with the Macbook Air).

As far as i understand Mini Displayport and Thunderbolt are physically the same and i should i be able to connect the Mini Displayport to the Thunderbolt ports on the motherboard. I really do apologize if i am way of on this.

Thanks for any advice in advance :)

Faced the same problem!
Open the chassis, remove the motherboard, there is silver colored metal IO Shield in the back that is partially blocking Thunderbolt port.
Replace motherboard properly. . . Done!
