So can i finally buy a Z77 micro ATX motherboard or shall I wait more?

GA-Z77M-D3H-MVP (rev. 1.0)
GA-Z77MX-D3H (rev. 1.0)
GA-Z77M-D3H (rev. 1.0)
These motherboards using VIA Audio which is unlikely to have modified kexts.

=((( Damn!! =((( At least UEFI is working! How long will it take to solve this VIA audio issue?

As far as I know, VIA only works with a VoodooHDA kext, and not with AppleHDA. So yes VIA is supported, but not natively.

So if onboard audio isn't an issue, or if you're one of those people who needs basic audio ie, stereo green jack out, one of these mATX boards would be fine. Also, if you're planning on using HDMI audio out from the graphics card- VIA wouldn't even enter into that equation. That's really the only issue I see with em.

now that is really great news tony.... got to save my money first

so if ur ok with just 2 speakers these are fine right? can the hdmi do 7.1 audio out too then? there are those HDMI to DVI converter cables but i dont think they can do the audio portion though,

btw, are those usb audio cards plug and play? can they work off a usb hub? bc i know for some mobos having the keyboard and mouse on a hub will cause problems

Your best bet is to just buy a Z77 motherboard with Realtek audio and Realtek or Intel Ethernet. You WILL have problems with VIA audio. Kernel panics, weird audio glitches, the like.
